ABOUT CESAR

Cesar Torrente is a native of Colombia and is an FEI rider having shown his first Grand Prix before the age of 20. He has successfully competed in three Pan Am Games and two Central American Games and in 2010, he earned two team gold medals at the South American & Central American Games. Due to his judging commitments, he no longer competes internationally but still actively rides in Colombia and travels often to Germany to train at Hof Kasselmann where numerous Olympic winners have been trained including Steffan Peters' horse Legolas.

Cesar began judging national shows in 1980 after attending a judging seminar with five time Olympic judge Jaap Pot.  With his experience as an FEI rider and after completing several judging seminars throughout the years, he began his FEI judging career in 2010.  At the beginning of 2017, he was appointed as an FEI 4* judge, the second highest level of international judging.

Cesar is a corporate lawyer by profession and is always found on the show grounds with a smile on his face, welcoming everyone. He is a pleasure to ride for!
